Ed Gibson is a lifetime resident of Marin County, and has been involved in building and construction since a young age, first as a carpenter then journeyman tile setter. Recently, as a licensed general building contractor, Ed specialized in residential and commercial construction and remodeling.
After a comprehensive training and mentoring program in the winter of 1997, he accepted his first solo inspection service in February of 1998. Since then, he has personally performed over 2400 inspections. Ed has completed over 300 hours of inspection related education from various trade organizations and schools including Residential and Commercial inspection, Electrical, Plumbing, Heating, E.I.F.S., and Roofing seminars to name a few.
As a Certified California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA) Inspector, as well as a candidate member of The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), Ed was also a co-founder the North Bay Chapter of “CREIA”, and a chapter officer for the past 5 years, serving most recently as Chapter President, where his focus was on the education of fellow professional inspectors.
Over the years he provided mentoring for several home inspectors who are now successfully pursuing careers in the field of home inspection in the form of education and field training, he has given educational presentations to local real estate offices, and has been a guest on three local real estate television shows speaking to the topic of Home Inspection.
